The Bowl

The Yo-Yo and the Cup

So in Xander's huge bag from Santa, there was this little cup and a tin yo-yo. Xander played for about 40 min putting the Yo-yo in the cup and taking it out, it was awful cute!

We also played a little with the yo-yo and got this footage, it was too fun not to post.

Standing!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Xander got his first opportunity to sit on Santa's lap and can I say he did AWESOME! I was so proud of my little guy. The Transcript had their annual family christmas party Monday night and of course, Santa was there. So we got in line to get into Santa's Workshop. The Santa was so great. (thanks, Tim!) And Xander got a totally cool bag of goodies. It was HUGE!! He doesn't even realize what he got, and couldn't ask for anything, but man, it was cuter! Here's a few of us waiting in line and then finally him on Santa's lap. I love the one of Xander looking at Santa. That's my favorite!

The Lawnmower

Xander has a toy that's a lawnmower and he LOVES it! It makes him feel like he really can walk. Although, he is close and will probably walking soon. This was too cute not to post. And boy does he "mow". He stops for nothing or no one. He will run you over if you are in the way. It just makes us laugh harder, though. This was back in the beginning of November. Its about a minute, sorry for some of my camera angles.

He has gotten so good he can get it unstuck now. Its pretty impressive!

Sour Lemon!

One day at a restaurant, Xander grabbed a lemon out or our drinks and started sucking on it. No sour faces, nothing. He loved it! It was too funny not to take a few pictures. What a cutie that boy is!

Girls Day - New Moon!

Sorry for the late post. We actually did this back on Nov 21. The office ladies and I saved our change and aluminum cans for an entire year so we could go to lunch and to the new Twilight movie New Moon. It was a lot of fun, food and entertainment. Isn't that Jacob a hottie! : )

Halloween Fun!

This Halloween was a rather different day. We got to do some of the traditional stuff, but then did some not so traditional.

First, we had a birthday party at Nickel Mania for my niece Lia. She was so cute with her big Halloween chocolate cake. It was a fun way to spend the morning. Some of the grandkids were in costume and Xander was one. We decided to dress him in his monkey suit for the party.

Next we headed to the Amtgard park. Dave had to judge Arts and Science and we had a knighting of our good friend Evan a.k.a. Loptr. It was neat to see and Xander even clapped on cue (when everyone else did). It was really cute.

Xander and I hung out at the park for awhile with Chante and Jason (Dave's bro and his wife), until it was time to get back and pick up their kids. Chante and I left and went to take her two kids and Xander trick or treating. We went around Overlake and it was a good place to go. It was well lit and lots of people were out and about over there. It turned out to be a really fun time. My nephew, Quinton was so excited, being three and all, and ran from door to door. We had all animals. A Lion (Quinton), a Dog (Zack) and a Monkey (Xander). I also got to meet my new nephew Jonathan for the first time. Dave's sister Christa's little boy. He was born in July, but we hadn't been able to meet him due to some complications of pregnancy and he finally got home earlier in October. But we weren't allowed to visit for a bit. But Halloween I finally got to see him and boy is he adorable! What a sweetie, too! He smiled for me at least 4 times. : )

That night my brother Blaine came over and we watched a scary movie after the baby went down. After everyone went to bed, Blaine and I sat up talking when we suddenly we saw police lights outside of my house. So, of course, we both take a peek through the blinds. Right across the street a police office had pulled over a girl in a little Jetta. At first we thought she was speeding or something, and then he had her get out of the car. Watch his finger go back and forth, and walk a line. Next thing we know another cop shows up. And we see the first officer get something out of his trunk. Breathalizer time! Sure enough they handcuff her, put her in the first cop car, drive off and before we know it we see a tow truck come and take her little car away while the second officer waited. And the best part of all of this...she was in a skimpy, skimpy dirty maid costume the entire time. We're talking little skirt, bra like top, with knee high socks and all! No shoes! Blaine and I sure got a kick out of it all. How embarrassing to get a DUI, but to get it on Halloween while in that outfit...man! Sorry, I didn't get any pictures, though.

All in all it was a great Halloween with lots of interesting events.

Xander 9 month Check-up

Xander had his 9 month check up and what a trooper. He does really well at the visits. He weighed 18.12 pounds, and was 28 inches long. His head was 17 inches round. (25% weight, 52% for height). He is right on track as far as where they expect a nine month old to be. He is cuter than ever. Just the other day he was playing with a flashlight and it was pretty funny. He had shine it and would shine it in my face or Dave's and just laugh and laugh. He thought it was pretty funny. Last night I was laying on the floor with a blanket and he would come over and lay his head down on it and I would go "Night, night Xander" and he would say a whisper that sounded like "nigh". He did it over and over, and whether he was really saying it or not, it was adorable. He has two teeth now and a few photos below I got a few good shots of them. He's a good tempered baby and even when he was sick the other day (throwing up, poor thing), he was still in a good mood. It about broke my heart. Poor little guy. He is doing incredible now and is back to his cute little self. He loves playing with 2 liter bottles, and so I got a lot of fun photos of that on this post too. He is just growing up so fast!

Two Teethies!

9 months old

Xander just turned 9 months old on Saturday October 10th. He has his next check up this Friday the 16th of October. We will be able to get all the new updated stats on him then. But it was a day to remember for me. He is crawling like mad and is so fast. There is no scooting at all for this boy. He hauls and the other day he climbed over the barrier we had for him. Which was a banana chair on its side. He dropped his toy car on the other side and so he pulled himself up and fell over the chair. And landed on his head. Poor little guy! He also climbed into a basket of socks trying to follow mama into the other room. He is so funny! He sometimes waves bye-bye and twice did "eskimo kisses" to mama. I'm still working on that one. And by request of Aunt Emily we are trying to get him to blow kisses. He is so close to saying "kitty" too. I know he will be saying it any day. I have new photos and some fun videos, but I won't update until we get his stats from his appointment on Friday. Then I can do a full blown update then. I just can't believe my baby is already 9 months old.

Big Boy, Xander

So Xander thinks he is a big boy. He is trying to walk and climb on everything. He has to support himself by holding onto the couch or chair or whatever toy happens to be in front of him. It is quite adorable. He is eight and a half months and counting. He crawls full out on his knees now and can move pretty dang fast. I am amazed at how fast he is growing. He also has two front teeth now, on the bottom row. And watch out, those suckers are sharp. Here are some fun pictures I took. Sorry there are so many, but there were so many cute ones to pick from, I couldn't help it.

Standing up at the recliner, he's always standing against something.

He loves the afghan type blankets, he loves to put his fingers in the holes.

Climbing in his car seat the wrong direction. He loves to climb on things.

Look at those big dark green eyes. It depends on the day, they will look green or grey, I think they are going to just be hazel.

The grass tickles the back of his neck.

He loves the blocks at Grandma's house. They are his favorite.

Aunt Emily put Xander in Savannah's baby doll stroller. : )

What's up with this goofy look, silly boy! And his eyes look grey today.

See Grandma, he's not happy ALL the time.
