Our New Little Friend

So we had a little visitor in our midst the last several days.  Charlie, my friend Heidi's Yorkie Poo.  He is definitely a puppy and very hyper.  He loves to run and run.  He licks your toes, nips at your fingers and chews on everything.  He isn't potty trained yet, so he had to spend the nights outside.  We would let him in as long as I could keep an eye on him, then  I was able to take him outside every so often to "do his duty".  But he is very cute, and full of fun.  He loves to play, and hates to be alone.  He followed me around everywhere I went.  It was a nice addition if even for just a few days.  Of course, the kitty didn't think so.  Sheba was very standoffish and mostly just gave Charlie the "evil eye".  She got very annoyed when he would hunch down and then bolt off as fast as he could directly at her.  She would hiss and he would bound away as if he'd done nothing wrong.  I just had to laugh and shake my head.  She tolerated him better than I thought, though.  I do think that him eating her food wasn't the best way to win her over though.  But now he is gone, so things will be back to normal again.

Ultra Sound Number Two

So we went in for my third OB appointment and got a pleasant surprise.  Another Ultra Sound.  We weren't supposed to get another one on this appointment, but there was a girl in the office that was learning the Ultra Sound Machine and they asked us if we would mind letting her practice.  She would have even told us the sex, but the baby wasn't cooperating.  He/She wouldn't let her look between the legs.  But it was still fun to see again.  And this time the baby actually looks like a baby.  The heart was cool to see too.  It was beating so fast.  It really is a miracle.  I still haven't felt the baby, so being able to see it and hear the heartbeat makes me feel better.  You start wondering if there really is a baby in there.  I wish we could have found out the sex, but in three weeks time we will, hopefully.  I have my major ultra sound September 5th at the hospital.  I get to drink 32 oz of water and then they get to push on my stomach.  How fun!  So soon I will be notifying everyone of the sex.  Just a few more weeks.  I guess I will have to wait.

How could I forget?

I feel just horrible, how could I forget a member of my little family.  My kitty Sheba.  I can't believe I did that to her.  She is my pride and joy.  Every day when I get home she greets me at the door meowing for me to pick her up.  She makes me hold her for at least ten minutes before then proceeding to her food dish wanting her "treat" of soft food, and then she waits by the back door for me to let her outside.  This is a daily routine.  Then at night she comes back in and lays in bed with me, most nights, but not all.  I love this little creature, its hard to believe how much sometimes.  I miss her when I don't see her and she makes me laugh at how funny she can be.  I feel horrible that I would forget her on my blog.  I hear that pregnant brain makes you forget things, but really?  That's bad!  Good thing she doesn't know I did.  So here is my ode to Sheba.
